Samsung Internet is one of many custom browsers that you can use on your Android smartphone, and it’s not only just for Samsung devices. It has a number of features that may grab your attention from competitors like Google Chrome and Firefox. While it already supports some cool features like content blocking extensions, there’s always room for more additions.

More you need to Know About Samsung Internet 8.2

Samsung Internet 8.2 is here and out of beta, and it brings a number of improvements such as Do-Not-Track mode, better Bixby integration, and faster download speeds. The Chromium engine has also been updated to M63, so you’ll get all of the latest Chromium improvements as well, including new CSS properties and JavaScript improvements.

One of the most interesting additions here, in my opinion, is the new Do-Not-Track mode. What this does is simply add the “do not track” header to all site requests when visiting, which in theory prevents sites from tracking your browsing and personalizing advertisements.

Websites aren’t obligated to support DNT requests, as there is no set standard just yet. You’d still be better off using other means of tracking blockers to be completely safe, but it’s a good start.

On top of that, Samsung has introduced a better download manager that downloads files larger than 13MB in chunks.

According to the company, it has resulted in 15%-40% increases in download speeds. In regard to Bixby integration, you can now speak out loud to ask Bixby to open your internet browser and search for something.
